For April, we’re highlighting some of our team’s favorite features — some you may know about, and some you may not! These are different aspects of Axle AI with one thing in common: they all make it easier for you and your team to work with video, audio and graphics, whether you’re in the office or working remotely. This week, let’s talk about different types of media in Axle AI…

Axle AI makes it radically simple… to work with non-video files

Axle AI is known for “radically simple video search,” but we don’t stop at video! Axle supports a wide range of media file types from images and audio files to PDFs. Axle creates different preview types depending on the original file format; for example, PDFs appear as a thumbnail preview of the first page, and in player view you can preview each page of the document. Audio files feature a waveform preview. For Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign and text documents, a thumbnail preview is not generated, but users can still create and search by custom metadata fields for these types of files.
