Editing Metadata

The first step to using Axle to tag and organize your media is to create metadata fields. Once created, these fields will automatically be available for all files in the appropriate catalog. 

To see the metadata fields for a clip, select the checkbox on the corresponding file. The column on the right will display the metadata information for the file. 

At the top as custom, the section that contains the metadata fields you create. To edit the metadata for the file, simply click the edit button. 

Once in edit mode, you can adjust the values of each field according to its type. For a text field, you can type in what you like. For a dropdown menu, you can select from the list of preset values you created in the admin pages and so on.

Once you set the values the way you like, click the save button to finish editing and lock the data.
